As a leading manufacturer of potting compounds, adhesives and sealants primarily used to protect sensitive electronics, Wevo is expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region with a new production site in Singapore. Located in the Tuas industrial area, the facility will serve as a key hub for supplying customers with locally manufactured polyurethane systems that offer proven solutions across a wide range of industries, such as e-mobility and white goods, as well as the generation, distribution and storage of energy. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

With its new production site in Singapore, Wevo is responding to the growing demand for proven polyurethane-based potting compounds, adhesives and sealants, thus becoming a regional manufacturer for the Asia-Pacific market. \u201cOur engagement in Singapore is a central component of our globalisation and growth strategy. Quality and processes to German standards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Drawing on the 80 years of expertise of Wevo-Chemie, the new facility will feature identical production processes and quality standards to those of the company\u2019s headquarters in southern Germany. In addition to a fully integrated production line, the building in the Tuas industrial area also offers ample storage and packaging capacity. <\/p>\n\n

Gerd Viertel, Managing Director of WEVO Chemical (Asia-Pacific) Pte. Ltd., explains: \u201cBy manufacturing within the region for the region, we are enhancing delivery reliability for our customers and reducing response times. Additionally, our closer proximity to the market provides a robust foundation for expanding our presence in the long term and strategically leveraging opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

The start of production is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. The initial focus will be on the proven polyurethane portfolio<\/a>, including polyurethane potting compounds, adhesives and sealants for electronics manufacturing \u2013 for instance through dispensing under atmospheric pressure or vacuum. <\/p>\n\n

Growth in Asia-Pacific<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

With the new facility in Singapore, Wevo is continuing the systematic expansion of its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2025, a new company was founded in India<\/a>, enabling fast and targeted customer support on site through the development of its own sales structures. Together with the existing locations in Hong Kong and Guangzhou this enhances local service in line with Wevo\u2019s high standards. <\/p>\n\n
